First, the problem of machine tool origin and coordinate system will cause collision.
First of all, we should think about setting the origin of the machine coordinate system, the incremental configuration of the machine * obviously, at the start-up time, the machine origin is not set, this time running procedures, carelessly will lead to machine tool collision, because the system does not know the exact location of the machine tool, there is the origin of the machine is not correct. The machine tool with incremental position encoder needs to adjust the position of fast return to zero because of the wrong position of fast return to zero. If the mechanical origin is set incorrectly, it is easy to bump the knife when running the program.
Secondly, the setting of the workpiece coordinate system, before the processing operation, the workpiece coordinate system (G54-G59) set the zero point is not correct or the coordinate system is not correct, at this time processing easily lead to collision tool or machining workpiece size is not correct.
2. Parameters are set incorrectly or are altered incorrectly. The data units are confused during processing, and the workpiece is liable to appear the wrong size or the resulting tool collision.
(1) As we all know, the machine tool is programmed. If there is a problem with the given program itself, it will certainly strike the knife. FANUC part of the G code is modal, if the program's previous processing program or program section of the G code developed at the end of the program section does not cancel, in the next program or program section will continue to be valid, which may cause machine tool misoperation or lead to knife collision.
(2) setting parameters are incorrect or wrong.

Three. Misoperation in machining process
(1) The program stops because of misoperation during normal processing. If the misoperation operator starts the cycle immediately after resetting according to RESET, it is easy to bump the knife.
Reason: Running default values and program settings change, press RESET: Reset resets the CNC system to the initial state, eliminating stored in the DRAM prediction program information, may also change the tool movement instructions.
G90 absolute instruction: run according to the coordinate value of the instruction.
G91 increment value instruction is executed according to the movement distance of the instruction.
Avoidance: If the program stops running due to misoperation in the process of automatic running, then it is modified to edit, reset the program according to RESET, run the program again, even from MDI to MEM, be sure to check the various modal code. (G M S F T, etc.) If the disease is confirmed correctly, the automatic circulation will be started, otherwise serious consequences may be caused.
(2) there is also a wrong setting of the cutter compensation value.
If the cutter compensation value is set wrong, it will cause collision. It is necessary to regularly check whether the cutter compensation value is correct, so as to avoid the occurrence of knife collision accidents.
In fact, there are many reasons for the CNC machining center to cause tool collision, but the possibility of fault caused by the system hardware is very small. As long as the management is strengthened, the misoperation is reduced, the setting of tool compensation and workpiece coordinate system is checked regularly, the origin is confirmed before machining, and all kinds of checks are done well, most of the collision accidents can be avoided.
